Falls are leading cause of construction fatalities

Falls are a leading cause of death for workers and account for one-third of on-the-job injury death in the construction industry. According to BLS data, 648 of the 4,836 fatalities from falls in all industries recorded.

The Campaign to Prevent Fall in Construction began in 2012, and this year, the 6th annual National Safety Stand-down to prevent falls will take place the week of May 6-10 across the nation and internationally.
